Change in Company Leadership

The PlanET Biogas Group announces a change in its executive leadership: After nearly ten successful years as CEO, Jörg Meyer zu Strohe, M.Eng., is handing over the leadership of the company to Roland Becker, MBA, effective immediately. Jörg Meyer zu Strohe will remain with the company as a founder, shareholder, and strategic advisor, continuing to contribute his extensive experience. Going forward, he will focus on new plant concepts, technical developments, and innovations.

Roland Becker, previously Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the PlanET Biogas Group, will take on the role of CEO. Having been with the company since 1998, he brings extensive industry expertise and a deep understanding of the company’s strategy. His goal is to continue driving the successful growth of the PlanET Biogas Group.

With this leadership transition, the executive team is also being strategically expanded: Gerrit Vowinkel, MBA, will join the management team as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of PlanET Biogas Group GmbH and as Managing Director of PlanET Biogastechnik GmbH alongside Klaus Fleck.

Nicola Del Duca will take over as Managing Director of PlanET Biogas Global GmbH. In his previous role as Chief Sales Officer, he played a key role in the company’s international expansion. His focus will be on strategically developing new markets.

“We are pleased to have Gerrit Vowinkel, Nicola Del Duca, and Klaus Fleck as experienced leaders in our ranks. Their expertise will be particularly valuable as we continue our internationalization and expansion efforts,” says Roland Becker, the new CEO of the PlanET Biogas Group.

Jörg Meyer zu Strohe adds: “I am proud of what we have achieved together in recent years. With Roland Becker and the new leadership team, the PlanET Biogas Group is well positioned for the future”.
