Reducing H₂S with PlanET RNG Upgraders
Our Activated Carbon removal solutions for H2S treatment are realized as part of our PlanET STATERON RNG Upgrader systems.
When it comes to cleaning up or “conditioning” biogas to use as RNG, there are three phases. The first phase occurs in the AD tank with our In-tank biological desulfurization and MicroNOX Additive. The second phase is dehydration /water removal, and the third phase is active carbon filtration gas cleaning.
Our upgraders use one of two carefully selected types of technology with the intention of creating a turn-key solution for each client and their unique requirements to ensure optimal efficiency and operational uptime.
Our STATERON M-Series is a packaged 3-Stage Membrane system that uses the principle of selective permeability through the membrane surface.
Our STATERON P-Series uses Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology, a widely used process in the gas industry.
Both our upgraders use activated carbon filtration beds for biogas pre-treatment. This activated carbon pre-treatment is made up of a number of filters, installed in a lead-lag configuration with operational flexibility in mind.
Any one of the filters can be bypassed and enable carbon media to be replaced without shutting down the RNG PlanET STATERON system operation at full RNG plant production.
